Digangana Suryavanshi, who made her Telugu debut with the Karthikeya movie Hippi, is all set for her next commercial Telugu film, Seetimaarr, where she is playing the lead, opposite Gopichand.
Speaking about her role from Seetimaarr to a leading daily, Digangana said, “It’s my first absolute commercial film and it’s been really exciting to shoot for it so far. I’ve never done a sports film before so there’s a lot to learn. I play a TV reporter in the film. She’s this quirky, unpredictable girl with a great sense of humour. She’s mostly glamourous but can also be girl-next-door. It’s one of my favourite characters (sic.)”

Seetimaarr also features Tamannaah as another leading lady, and Digangana says they had an absolute blast on the sets. “Both Tamannaah and I are from Mumbai so we had a lot of things in common and we got along really well. Gopichand sir also created a chilled out vibe on sets, so it was a lot of fun (sic.)”
Seetimaarr is based on the sport Kabaddi, where Gopichand will be seen playing the role of a coach from Andhra Pradesh, who will have a face off with Tamannaah’s character Jwala Reddy, the coach of the Telangana all girls hockey team. Seetimaarr is directed by Sampath Nandi and bankrolled by Srinivasa Chitturi. The film also includes Bhumika Chawla, Posani Krishna Murali, Rao Ramesh, Rehaman and Tarun Arora in pivotal roles. After 8 months of a break, due to the Coronavirus, the team of Seetimaarr has resumed shooting following the new safety protocols, since November 23.
