Rajinikanth’s upcoming star studded film Annaatthe is one of the most awaited and anticipated films in Tamil and Telugu. The film was supposed to wrap up its shoot in April but, due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus, the production work had to be stopped. On the occasion of Rajinikanth’s 70th birthday, the makers have announced Annaatthe will resume shooting from next week.
The makers of Annaatthe, Sun Pictures, released a special video featuring director Siruthai Siva wishing Rajinikanth on his birthday and also announced the news about the resumption of the shoot. The Director revealed that Annaatthe will resume shooting on December 15 and also said that Rajinikanth will join soon. Sharing the special video and announcement on Twitter, Sun Pictures wrote, “Today (December 15), the producers of the film, Sun Pictures, shared Siruthai Siva’s video and wrote, “#Annaatthe shooting resumes from Dec 15th! @rajinikanth @directorsiva #HBDSuperstarAnnaatthe #HBDSuperstarRajinikanth (sic.)”

Annaatthe is directed by Siruthai Siva and many actors including Khushbu, Nayanthara, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj and Soori are part of the film. D. Imman has been roped in to compose music for the project.
Portions involving Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh and Rajinikanth will be shot at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. The makers are planning to complete the film early next year, as they might release it by Summer 2021.
