SS Rajamouli is one of the prestigious directors of the Indian film industry and Prabhas is one of the popular actors. The duo is known as the blockbuster combo as their previously collaborated films like Chatrapathi in 2005 or Baahubali series in 2016 did wonders at the box office. Now that Rajamouli is working on the magnum opus RRR, several questions were raised regarding the pair not teaming up this time.
When asked if we get to witness the blockbuster combo again on the big screen, Rajamouli strongly approved. Speaking about why he didn’t choose Prabhas for RRR, Rajamouli said, “Working for 5 years together in Baahubali, I think we have seen enough of each other. Jokes apart, when we have a subject exciting for both of us we will definitely come together again.”
Talking about how he is not thinking about Baahubali’s success anymore, he shared, “My mantra always had been, to completely forget the previous film’s success and start completely afresh. I don’t keep a comparative chart. I completely ignore it. I make a story that is exciting. And then do whatever that is needed to make it the best. Leave no stone unturned.”

On the work front, Rajamouli is currently working on his next project RRR, which has Ram Charan and Jr. NTR as the leads. The movie tells the fictional story of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. M.M. Keeravani is composing the music while DVV Entertainments is producing the movie. RRR also boasts some impressive names like Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Allison Doody and Ray Stevenson, who would be essaying pivotal supporting roles.
Prabhas is currently working on the upcoming big budget pan Indian film Radhe Shyam, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and features Pooja Hegde as the leading lady of the film. A trilingual, Radhe Shyam is set to release in 2021. Prabhas also has an untitled sci-fi film with director Nag Ashwin, which also stars Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan. He will also be seen in the role of Lord Ram in the pan Indian big-budget film, Adipurush, which will be directed by Om Raut of Tanhaji fame.
