Telugu movies are hugely popular among the Hindi audiences, which is why the remakes are quite common in Bollywood. After Jersey, HIT, Chatrapthi, Rudhramdevi, and others, reportedly another Telugu movie, which is Jr NTR’s Oosaravelli is on its way to Bollywood.
According to the latest reports, Jr NTR and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer Oosaravelli will be remade in Hindi with a Bollywood star cast. It is also said that the remake rights have been bagged and are currently working on the changes of the script to suit the Hindi audience. Producer S Taurani reportedly said, “The story of Oosaravelli works well in Hindi too so we decided to remake it. It has done extremely well in Telugu so we’re confident about the remake as well. We will announce it officially pretty soon (sic.)”
Oosaravelli, directed by Surender Reddy, was declared a hit at the box office in 2011. The film is considered one of the finest films of Jr NTR’s career. Koratala Siva penned dialogues and Devi Sri Prasad composed music for the film. The film also featured Shaam, Prakash Raj, Vidyut Jammwal, Payal Ghosh, Murali Sharma, Jaya Prakash Reddy and Rahman in important roles.
Meanwhile, Jr NTR is currently prepping up for his upcoming film titled RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram) co-starring Ram Charan and directed by S.S. Rajamouli. The cast of the biggie includes Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Shriya Saran and Ajay Devgn. RRR is bankrolled by D.V.V. Danayya and about 70% of the shooting has been completed and the team has already resumed shooting. The actor also has an untitled film with director Trivikram Srinivas, which is tentatively referred to as #NTR30.
