Director Sampath Nandi is currently helming the sports drama Seetimaarr starring Gopichand and Tamannaah Bhatia. Now after 8 months of long Coronavirus break, the team of Seetimaarr has resumed shooting with new normal on November 23, Monday.
According to the latest announcement from the makers, the shooting of the film has resumed on November 23 and will be wrapped up in a single schedule. Director Sampath Nandi shared a BTS video and wrote, “We’re BACKK!!!#Seetimaarr (sic.)” The video gave glimpses of the crew and cast on the sets doing their work in the new normal with masks and sanitization.

Prior to the lockdown, almost 60% shoot had been wrapped up in three schedules which took place at Rajahmundry and Hyderabad. Initially, the team was all set to resume shooting in September but as Seetimaarr is a sports film and requires a large number of people on the sets, which is not possible in the current pandemic situation, the shoot was cancelled.

Seetimaarr is based on the Kabaddi sport, where Gopichand will be seen playing the role of a coach from Andhra Pradesh, who will have a face-off with Tamannaah’s character Jwala Reddy, the coach of the Telangana all-girls hockey team. Seetimaarr is bankrolled by Srinivasa Chitturi. Hippi actress Digangana Suryavanshi will step into the shoes of a village belle who is head over heels in love with the protagonist. The film also includes Bhumika Chawla, Posani Krishna Murali, Rao Ramesh, Rehaman and Tarun Arora in pivotal roles.
