Weekly Recap November 14-20: Here’s What Happened In Tollywood This Week

Another week has passed and we have seen big movies being announced, celebrities happy about resuming work and celebrities being affected by the COVID-19 virus.  The movie industry waits for no one as it is a constantly moving wheel which makes and breaks dreams.  While the amount of news about events happening in Tollywood can be mind boggling, as it is hard to separate truth from rumour, we at Telugu Filmnagar will make your life fun and easy with all the Tollywood recaps.  We bring to you on every Saturday a summary of the important news which occurred this week.

Here are the important news items for this week.

1) Middle Class Melodies: Netizens Term This Movie A Wholesome Family Entertainer

Anand Deverakonda and Varsha Bollamma starrer released for viewing worldwide on Amazon Prime Video on November 20th.  Middle Class Melodies tells the story of a young guy from a small town on the outskirts of Guntur who dreams of setting up his own tiffin shop in Guntur to sell his famous Bombay Chutney.  Director Vinod Anantoju, who made his debut with Middle Class Melodies has spun a deftly woven story which has no wasted actions and has managed to extract the best performance from every actor.  

2) Prabhas Starrer Adipurush To Release In August 2022

The biggest Indian 3D film, based on the epic mythology Ramayana will hit the worldwide theatres on August 8th, 2022.  Prabhas shared this big announcement on his social media by sharing the poster of the film and wrote, “#Adipurush in Theatres 11.08.2022 (sic.)”  Reportedly, the film is currently in the pre-production stage and will go on floors in January, 2021.

3) Prasanth Varma’s Zombie Reddy Wraps Up Shooting And Commences Dubbing

Prasanth Varma is a new generation director who shot to fame with the critically acclaimed Awe!  The director is currently working on his next film titled Zombie Reddy, starring Teja Sajja in the lead role.  Zombie Reddy wrapped up its shooting schedule and has commenced the dubbing works.

4) Love Story: Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi Wrap Up Shooting

The Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer Love Story is one of the most awaited films of Tollywood.  Love Story kicked off the Unlock 4 phase in September and resumed shooting.  Now, the team of Love Story wrapped up the shoot and is all set to hit the big screens.

5) Kajal Aggarwal To Join The Sets Of Chiranjeevi-Starrer Acharya In December

According to the latest reports, Kajal Aggarwal is all set to join the Acharya sets in December.  However, there is no official note regarding this yet from neither the makers nor Kajal.  The actress will kick off the post COVID phase and join the shooting sets from December 5th after 8 months long Coronavirus break.  As Chiranjeevi was declared COVID-19 positive and Kajal was busy with the wedding, the team of Acharya resumed shoot from November 10th without lead actors.

6) Sudheer Babu And director Mohan Krishna Indraganti Team Up For The Third Time

Sudheer Babu is all set to team up with Mohan Krishna Indraganti yet again for a new film.  The duo previously collaborated twice for Sammohanam and V, this untitled film will mark their third time collaboration.  This announcement was made on the auspicious day of Diwali.

7) Master: Thalapathi Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi Lock Horns In Most Liked Teaser In India

Thalapathy Vijay starrer Master is the biggest and highly anticipated movie from the Tamil movie industry, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.  The movie will be released in multiple languages in order to cater to a wider audience as Vijay’s fandom.  The teaser was released on November 15th and it received such a huge response it became the most liked teaser in India in just twenty four hours.
