Megastar Chiranjeevi Tests Positive For COVID-19 Ahead Of Acharya Shoot

A number of Tollywood celebrities have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus in the past few months and luckily everyone of them have recovered.  The list includes celebrities like Rajamouli, Keeravani, Bandla Ganesh, Tamannaah and many others.  Legendary singer S.P. Balasubramanyam unfortunately lost his life due to post COVID complications.  The latest celebrity to test positive for the COVID-19 virus is none other than Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi was supposed to resume work for his upcoming movie Acharya.  Before beginning the shooting schedules, Chiranjeevi underwent a routine COVID test as part of the precautionary measures laid down by the producers.  It was during this time that Chiranjeevi tested positive for COVID-19 virus and took to social media to let his followers know about the news.  However, Chiranjeevi assured everyone he is completely fine and asymptomatic and is quarantining himself.  Furthermore, Chiranjeevi urged everyone he came into contact within the last five days to get themselves tested as well.

Chiranjeevi’s brother, Naga Babu also tested positive for the COVID-19 virus recently and has recovered.  Naga Babu donated his plasma as well once he was declared negative for the COVID-19 virus.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi will be next seen in the upcoming film Acharya directed by Koratala Siva.  Ram Charan is producing the movie under Konidela Production Company banner jointly with Matinee Entertainments and will also be appearing in an extended cameo role for the movie.  Kajal Aggarwal will be seen playing the leading lady in the film.  Chiranjeevi will also be seen in the Telugu remake of Lucifer which will be helmed by V.V. Vinayak.
