Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working on his next project with Siva Koratala, titled Acharya. The movie title went viral when Chiranjeevi accidentally revealed the name during a pre release event for O Pitta Katha. Ram Charan will be appearing in an extended cameo in Acharya, and his role is supposedly pivotal to the plot of the movie. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country, the government declared 6 months of lockdown. Movie productions came to a halt and shooting schedules were postponed indefinitely and Acharya is also one of the films which had to be halted.
Konidela Production Company, the production house behind Acharya has finally updated the status of the movie. In a tweet, the production house said the shooting will resume from November 9th for a month-long schedule during which a large chunk of the movie will be finished. Moreover, the makers have also announced Acharya will be releasing in theaters during the summer of 2021.
Post lockdown, we are excited to be back on sets from NOV 9th with all the safety precautions. It will be a month long schedule in which large chunk of the movie shoot will be done.

Acharya was supposed to release on August 14, 2020, but has been pushed for Sankranthi. Kajal Aggarwal will play the lead actress in this film and Regina Cassandra will shake the leg on a special song. Acharya is produced by Ram Charan and Anvesh Reddy under Konidela Productions and Matinee Entertainments banners respectively.
