Sunitha Upadrasta or Singer Sunitha as she is popularly known is one of the most noted celebrities in the field of music in Tollywood. The noted singer who also provides dubbing for movies has reached an important milestone in her career as she completes twenty five years of working in the industry.
Sunitha has worked on some of the biggest movies in Tollywood and made her commercial debut with the superhit movie Gulabi. Since then Sunitha has went on to sing some of the highest grossing Telugu movies like Simhadri, Chatrapathi, Athadu, Godavari and Vedam. While having an established career in singing, Sunitha also is a seasoned voice over and dubbing artist.
Sunitha began her dubbing career unwillingly when she lent her voice for the movie Choodalani Vundi, following which she became a hit for her range of voice modulations. This increased her credibility as an artist and contributed to her becoming one of the most sought after voiceover artists in South Indian cinema. Till date, Sunitha has been a voice-over artist giving voice to over 110 actresses in more than 750 films. Sunitha’s records speak for herself and her greatest accomplishment is winning nine Nandi Awards during her twenty five year long career. She received her first Nandi award in the year 1999 and bagged the prestigious awards in a row for the years 2002 to 2006 and again for the years 2010 to 2012.
