Rajasekhar’s whole family tested positive for Coronavirus a few days ago, including his wife Jeevitha and two daughters Shivani and Shivathmika. While they all have recovered from the virus, Rajasekhar is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. Ever since then, his daughter Shivathmika and hospital authorities have been updating the fans about his health to avoid any fake news.
The latest statement by the authorities reads, “Sri. Dr V Rajasekhar, admitted at a hospital in Hyderabad for severe Covid-19, is currently being weaned off non-invasive ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He received plasma therapy and CYTOSORB device therapy as a part of his ongoing treatment. His clinical condition is better. He is responding to treatment and continues to be closely monitored by our clinical team (sic.)”
On October 17 when the news broke that Rajasekhar was admitted to the hospital COVID-19, rumours started doing the rounds online about his health condition. To put an end to the rumours, his daughter urged everyone to pray for a speedy recovery for her father and not to believe the rumours online.
She wrote in the tweet, “I cannot thank you all enough for your love and wishes! But please know, he is not critical.. he is stable and getting better! We just need your prayers and heart. Thank you once again. Do not panic. Please do not spread fake news (sic.)”

On the work front, Rajasekhar was last seen in 2019 action-thriller Kalki. Directed by Prashanth Varma, the movie also starred Rahul Ramakrishna, Adah Sharma, Nandita Swetha and Pujita Ponnada.
