The pan Indian star Prabhas’ films are always the talk of the town, be it his past films or upcoming ones. Ever since pan Indian project Adipurush with Bollywood director Om Raut has been announced, every single scoop, buzz and gossip about the film becomes the biggest news on the internet. While Lord Ram’s and Ravana’s roles are confirmed, the makers are in search of Sita and Lakshman.
For the last couple of weeks, rumours were rife that Ajay Devgn was roped in for Lakshman’s role in Prabhas’ upcoming mythological epic Adipurush. The rumours grew stronger every day as the duo of Director Om Raut and Ajay Devgn have earlier worked together on the blockbuster film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. However, the actor’s spokesperson has now cleared the air about the rumours.
According to the spokesperson’s official statement, Ajay Devgn has not been approached to play any character in Adipurush. Yes, you heard it right. This definitely quashes all rumours about the actor being a part of the movie.

Adipurush is an adaptation of the Indian epic which revolves around the triumph of good over evil. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Ram is also addressed as Adi Purusha. Adipurush will be shot as a bilingual film in Hindi and Telugu. The 3D extravaganza will have a humongous release with the film dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and several other foreign languages. The film is expected to release in theatres in 2022.
