Rana Daggubati will appear as Bandev in the upcoming film Aranya, which is directed by Prabu Solomon. The movie was scheduled to release in April but has been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Now, the makers have announced a new release date and fans can’t keep calm about it.
Due to the shutdown of movie theatres for more than 7 months, movies were forced to postpone movie releases. The same happened with Rana Daggubati’s Aranya but now a new release date has been announced. Aryana in Telugu, Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi and Kaadan in Tamil will hit the theatres in January for Makar Sankranti 2021. The lead actor, Rana Daggubati took to Twitter to share this happy news to the fans and wrote, The wait is over #Aranya at a theatre near you Sankranti 2021!! (sic.)”

Talking about his upcoming film, Rana revealed, “Aranya is the toughest film I have shot, and this is coming from someone who shot Baahubali. I had to bear the weight of a trunk of an elephant on my shoulders. The trunk would easily weigh 160-170 kgs. Each of these films have allowed me to live a new experience(sic.)”
Rana Daggubati stars as Bandev, a protector of forests, taking on a corporate entity encroaching on forest lands inhabited by a herd of elephants. Rana Daggubati looks convincing as Bandev, sporting a rugged look. Shriya Pilgaonkar, Zoya Hussain, Vishnu Vishal and Raghu Babu will appear in supporting roles in Aranya. The music for Aranya is composed by Shantanu Moitra and the lyrics for the Telugu version are written by Vanamaali. The movie is produced and distributed by Eros International.
