The person who connects Venkatesh, IPL and SRH is none other than the legendary and stylish Indian batsman V.V.S. Laxman. The connection goes back to the movie Vasantham which starred Venkatesh as Ashok, who plays for the Andhra Pradesh team in Ranji Trophy. Laxman can be seen offering some batting tips to Venkatesh during practice sessions in the movie.
The connection ties off in the present day where V.V.S. Laxman is the current batting coach for the SRH franchise in the IPL. Therefore if Venkatesh were to play for an IPL franchise, we think he would fit right into the SRH franchise considering Laxman had already coached him in Vasantham.
