Annapurna Studios is one of the biggest film studios in Hyderabad and was recently in the news about a fire erupting in the studios on Thursday. The rumours stated that the fire broke out on a film set in the studio and was suspected due to a short-circuit. While the rumours didn’t claim any death loss but it said that there was property loss. However, it seems like the fire eruption is a just mere rumour as Annapurna studios cleared the air.
Annapurna studios took to their official Twitter handle and cleared the air about fire eruption rumours. They wrote in the tweet, “All is well at Annapurna. Request to refrain from spreading unconfirmed news🙏 (sic.)” The Akkineni fans took a breath of relief with the official clarification of the news.

It is to be recalled that a fire had engulfed Annapurna studios in November 2017 from Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya starrer Manam movie sets. The fire damaged property worth Rs. 2 crores to the studios.

Annapurna Studios is a production house established in 1975 by the late Telugu actor Nageswara Rao Akkineni. This studio is named after his wife Annapurna Akkineni. Located in the heart of Hyderabad city, the 8.9-hectare company mainly produces Telugu films and also provides various production and post-production facilities, including sound stages for set construction, outdoor sets, editing, dubbing and Digital Intermediate suites.
