Rajamouli is currently working on his next magnum opus, which is titled Roudram Ranam Rudhiram (RRR). The movie boasts of a diverse ensemble cast from all over the world and is a fictional retelling of the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two of India’s famous freedom activists. Ram Charan will be playing the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju while Jr. NTR will be playing the role of Komaram Bheem. After 7 months of Coronavirus lockdown, the star-studded team of RRR is back on the sets.
RRR has finally resumed shoot today, October 5 by adhering to all the COVID-19 rules with limited staff, PPE kits, and other safety measures. The team would be shooting non-stop for the next two months to complete the last shooting schedule.
Jr. NTR and Ram Charan are expected to shoot some very intense battle sequences, which has made it complicated for director S.S. Rajamouli due to the COVID-19 rules of social distancing. A source close to the project told an entertainment portal, “Rajamouli will shoot most of the battle sequences through CGs(computer graphics). But some of the battle scenes require one-to-one confrontation. These have to be shot live and obviously entail some amount of danger Rajamouli is hoping to shoot these once the pandemic eases out. Otherwise, they will have to risk it (sic.)”
Helmed on a massive budget of close to Rs. 400 crores, the story of the pan Indian film, RRR is penned by Rajamouli’s father K.V. Vijayendra Prasad and the dialogues are written by Sai Madhav Burra. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Olivia Morris, Allison Doody and Ray Stevenson would be essaying pivotal supporting roles. M.M. Keeravani is composing the music while DVV Entertainments is producing the movie.
