OFFICIAL! Vijay Sethupathi To Star In The Biopic Of Legendary Cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is one of the talented and busiest actors in South India.  Be it his transgender role in Super Deluxe, or a lover boy role in Nenu Rowdy Ne, his transition of looks for every role is a bliss to eyes of South Indian fans.  Vijay Sethupathi will now be adding another feather in his cap as he is all set to star in the biopic of the legendary Sri Lankan Cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan.

The untitled biopic is going to be directed by M.S. Sripathy and will star Vijay Sethupathy who will be playing Muttiah Muralitharan.  The untitled movie will be jointly produced by Movie Train Motion Pictures and Dar Motion Pictures.  Muttiah Muralitharan is a legendary bowler from Sri Lanka and is the first ever cricketer to take 800 wickets in the test match format.  Muttiah is known for the smile he always has during the match and his unique bowling action which was a nightmare for batsmen all over the world.

Vijay Sethupathi currently has 10 films in his kitty right now, in various stages of production.  The actor will play the antagonist in the Tamil film Master and the Telugu film Uppena.  Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil films Ka Pae Ranasingam, Kadaisi Vivasayi, Laabam, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal and Tughlaq Darbar are shaping up well, and are expected to release after the lockdown.  Vijay Sethupathi will also be making his debut in the Bollywood industry with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha.  The film is in the shooting stage and will most likely release in 2021.
