Akshay Kumar To Star In Ratsasan Hindi Remake?

Akshay Kumar is currently the biggest star in Bollywood as all his movies have done extremely well in the past few years.  Most of Akshay Kumar’s movies convey a social message and Akshay is also known to do remakes of movies from the South Indian movie industry.  There has however been a very interesting rumour going on in the industry that Akshay Kumar may star in the Hindi remake of the highly acclaimed movie Ratsasan.

Ratsasan stands for demon in Tamil and was a movie which starred Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in the lead roles.  The film tells the story of an aspiring film director who becomes a police officer after his father’s death and tries to track down a serial killer.  Ratsasan went on to become a commercial blockbuster and was even remade in Telugu as Rakshashadu which starred Bellamkonda Srinivas as the lead.

Ratsasan was directed by Ram Kumar and is also the second highest rated Indian film on IMDB.  Akshay Kumar is not new to remaking South Indian movies as he will be seen in the upcoming movie Laxmmi Bomb which is a remake of Kanchana.  Raghava Lawrence who directed the original is also helming the Hindi remake Laxmmi Bomb.

Akshay Kumar will also play a cameo role in the Hindi remake of Bhaagamathie.  Akshay Kumar will appear in a slew of upcoming movies which are Sooryavanshi, Prithviraj, Atrangi Re and Bell Bottom.  Akshay Kumar’s last appearance in a South Indian movie was when he appeared as  the antagonist in the Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 which is the sequel for Robo.
