SP Balasubramaniam passes away after a long fight with COVID-19

The Indian movie industry has been dealt its biggest blow as the legendary singer S.P. Balasubramaniam lost his life after a long fight with COVID-19.  The entire nation and especially the South Indian states where SPB is hugely popular is in a state of shock over the news of his demise.  S.P. Balasubramaniam was admitted to the MGM Hospital in Chennai on August 5th when he tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.  SPB said he got himself admitted as a precautionary measure but his condition deteriorated suddenly and he had to be put on ventilatory support.

Chiranjeevi confirms Ram Charan’s cameo in Acharya

Although it was official that Ram Charan will be playing a major part in Acharya, rumours about him being replaced because of the issue of the dates have been doing rounds in the tinsel town for months.  Chiranjeevi finally let the cat out of the bag, when he admitted in a recent interview that his son does play a key role in his upcoming film. “My wife Surekha has always wanted to see us both together on-screen and I don’t know if we would ever get the chance if we let this opportunity go. I even spoke to SS Rajamouli and explained to him why this is important for me (sic.)”

Saiee Manjrekar joins the cast of Adivi Sesh’s Major

Adivi Sesh took to Twitter to announce the news of Saiee Manjrekar, who will be joining the cast of Major.  Sesh said Saiee’s role will have equal measures of intensity and innocence in her role for the movie.  Saiee Manjrekar shot to fame when she appeared in the Salman Khan starrer Dabangg 3

Actor Kosuri Venugopal passes away due to COVID-19

Kosuri Venugopal is a familiar face in the Telugu Movie industry as he keeps appearing in supporting roles.  Venugopal is also known for his unique comic timing and dialogue delivery.  The well known actor Kosuri Venugopal succumbed to the COVID-19 virus and passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad.  According to reports, Kosuri Venugopal was on life support for 23 days.  

#Prabhas21: Singeetam Srinivasa Rao joins this project

The production house behind #Prabhas21 took to social media to announce the news of Singeetam Srinivasa Rao joining their team as their mentor.  The veteran director will lend his creative advice to the team behind #Prabhas21.  The legendary director also tested positive for the COVID-19 virus recently.  Revealing that he is currently in home isolation, Singeetham said that his quarantine period is up to September 22nd.  However, Srinivasa Rao will be offering his advice even from his home while he is quarantined.

First glimpse of Kartikeya Gummakonda’s Chaavu Kaburu Challaga released 

Kartikeya Gummakonda is back working on another promising movie titled Chaavu Gabaru Challaga, co-starring Lavanya Tripathi.  on the occasion of his 28th birthday, the official first glimpse of his character from the upcoming comedy entertainer Chaavu Kaburu Challaga was unveiled.  The first glimpse video introduces Kartikeya as Basthi Balaraju.  Kartikeya will play the role of a person, who carries dead bodies to the graveyards.
