Rana Daggubati is currently working on one of the most promising Telugu films titled Virata Parvam. The film is one of many films which got affected by the Coronavirus outbreak.
Due to the theatres being shut for more than 6 months and no guarantee about when they will reopen, OTT platforms are approaching big films for direct release and one such film is Virata Parvam. However, the makers of the film and director Venu Udugula are frigid to release the movie only in theatres. The director recently spoke to a leading daily and confirmed the same. He said, “We will wait for any number of months but it will only release in the theatres first. (sic.)” For unversed, Rana Daggubati’s produced film Krishna and His Leela starring Siddu Jonnalagadda, Shraddha Srinath, Seerat Kapoor and Shalini Vadnikatti in key roles, was one such movie, which was released on Netflix and bagged a huge success.
The film completed 70% of shooting and is waiting for the pandemic situation to settle to resume the shooting. Suresh Babu, who is producing the film is planning to shoot only after the government lifts all the restrictions as the producer said he can’t resume shooting for this film with the guidelines in existence. However, it is also being said that Rana Dagguabati is likely to resume work in November.
