Superstar Rajinikanth offered his condolences and remembered veteran singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam to bid his final goodbye. The musical maestro passed away today after a long battle with the Coronavirus at a private hospital in Chennai. Rajinikanth remembered him and said SPB has been his voice many years through his songs in his film.
Rajinikanth posted a video on Twitter about SPB’s demise and said, “Today is a very sad day. Respected SPB has left us all after a hard battle for life till the last moment. His demise gives me immense pain and shock. There can be no one, who is not a fan of his voice in India. People who knew him, loved him more that his voice or singing because of his humanity and respect towards each and every one. He is such a lovable person (sic.)”
The Superstar further added in the video, “The Indian film industry had created numerous singers like Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, TM Soundarajan among others. SPB had one quality that all these popular singers didn’t have. All those singers were prominent in their own languages only, but SPB could sing in so many languages. Everyone used to love him and his voice. His voice will live on for over 100 years through his songs, but to think that the person who owns the voice is not with us, is very saddening. May his soul rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to his family (sic.)”
