After Chiranjeevi’s 152nd film Acharya, Megastar will be acting next in the Telugu remake of the critically popular Malayalam movie Lucifer. Reportedly, Ram charan has bagged the Telugu remake rights of the film and will be bankrolling it. Lucifer Telugu Remake is right around the corner with Chiranjeevi in the lead role and several speculations arose about the director of the film. Earlier, it was Sujeeth directing the Telugu remake of Lucifer but now VV Vinayak has replaced Sujeeth.
From the past few weeks, speculation was rife that Sujeeth has been replaced for the Lucifer Telugu remake. Now, it seems like it is confirmed as Chiranjeevi said it himself. Confirming that VV Vinayak has replaced Sujeeth, Chiranjeevi revealed the reason why Sujeeth left the project in his latest interview. Speaking to a leading daily, the actor said Sujeeth came up to him amid the latter’s marriage proceedings and requested to excuse himself from the film as he was unable to concentrate on the script and pre-production works. Chiranjeevi gave a nod to the young filmmaker’s request and that’s when he approached VV Vinayak to take over the direction responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is most likely to resume the shooting of Acharya from October. The team is currently erecting sets and trying out trial shoots without the lead actor. The film is directed by Koratala Siva and will see Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady while Ram Charan will be seen in a cameo role. Regina Cassandra will shake a leg in a special song alongside the Megastar.
The actor will also reprise the role of Thala Ajith for the Telugu remake of Tamil film Vedalam, which will be directed by Meher Ramesh.
