Chiranjeevi Confirms Ram Charan’s Cameo In Acharya; Says It’s His Wife’s Dream To See Them Together

Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working on his next project with Siva Koratala, titled Acharya.  The first look and title was revealed on Chiranjeevi’s birthday and received a humongous response from the fans.  It is a well known fact that Ram Charan will be appearing in an extended cameo in Acharya, and his role is supposedly pivotal to the plot of the movie.

Although it was official that Ram Charan will be playing a major part in Acharya, rumours about him being replaced because of the issue of the dates have been doing rounds in the tinsel town for months.  Chiranjeevi finally let the cat out of the bag, when he admitted in a recent interview that his son does play a key role in his upcoming film. “My wife Surekha has always wanted to see us both together on-screen and I don’t know if we would ever get the chance if we let this opportunity go. I even spoke to SS Rajamouli and explained to him why this is important for me (sic.)”

Recently, Ram Charan also said the same, about how important Acharya is to his mom and Konidela’s family.  Speaking about how his mother’s dream is being fulfilled with Acharya, Ram Charan said, “It’s my mother’s dream to see both my dad and I sharing screen space. I’m glad that her dream is going to come true with Acharya (sic.)”  With these official statements, it is now confirmed that we shall be able to witness the mega action on the big screen with Acharya.

Acharya has completed about 30% of the shoot and the makers are planning to complete the film by the year-end to ensure a festival release.  Acharya was supposed to release on August 14, 2020, but has been pushed for Sankranthi.  Kajal Aggarwal will play the lead actress in this film and Regina Cassandra will shake the leg on a special song.  Acharya is produced by Ram Charan and Anvesh Reddy under Konidela Productions and Matinee Entertainments banners respectively.
