Actor Kosuri Venugopal Passes Away Due To COVID-19

Kosuri Venugopal is a familiar face in the Telugu Movie industry as he keeps appearing in supporting roles.  Venugopal is also known for his unique comic timing and dialogue delivery.  The well known actor Kosuri Venugopal succumbed to the COVID-19 virus and passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad.  According to reports, Kosuri Venugopal was on life support for the past 23 days.  

Kosuri Venugopal hails from Narsapur of West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh and made his movie debut with Thegimpu.  However, he shot into the limelight with his role in S.S. Rajamouli directorial Maryada Ramanna.  Movies like Chalo and Vikramarkudu have also brought Kosuri Venugopal recognition.  Kosuri Venugopal was last seen in Ami Thumi which was directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti.

In an interview, Kosuri Venugopal stated that while his debut was in Thegimpu, his role in SS Rajamouli’s Maryada Ramanna remains his absolute favourite.  He said “It is only due to Maryada Ramanna that I am recognised as an actor today (sic.)”  Venugopal appeared in all of Rajamouli’s movies except Student No. 1.
