The much awaited and anticipated Nishabdham, which stars Anushka Shetty and R. Madhavan in the lead roles has joined the list of films that have taken the OTT route as the fate of the movie theatres remains uncertain. The movie was initially set to release in April but due to the outbreak of the pandemic, made a theatrical release impossible. Now, the official trailer of the film was released by Rana Daggubati in Telugu while Vijay Sethupathi unveiled it in Tamil.
The trailer begins with Madhavan (Antony) and Anushka Shetty (Sakshi) unraveling at a haunted house to find some answers but not revealing much of that part, the story shifts and shows glimpses of romantic scenes between Madhavan and Anushka. The captivating trailer also shows Sakshi trying to convince cops and others at the murder was committed by a ghost, Sakshi’s best friend Sonali (Shalini Pandey.) Anjali (Maha) and Hollywood actor Michael Madsen (Richard), who are cops in the film are trying to solve the murder but seems to be entangled with no answers. Nishabdham is a movie where Sakshi and Maha race against time to connect the dots and uncover the real killer.

Nishabdham will now debut on Amazon Prime Video on October 2. It will be available for streaming in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Anushka Shetty plays a deaf and mute artist who gets entangled in a criminal investigation and Madhavan as a musician in the lead roles. Nishabdham also stars Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivas Avasarala in supporting roles. Hollywood actor Michael Madsen of Reservoir Dogs fame has also played a key role in the film. The film is directed by Hemant Madhukar and produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Kona Venkat jointly under the banners People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation respectively.
