1) #VT10: Supreme Star Upendra joins the Varun Tej starrer
#VT10 which stars Fidaa actor Varun Tej as a boxer in the main lead, Bollywood film Dabbang actor Sai Manjrekar is reportedly to play as the female lead. The production house behind #VT10, Renaissance Pictures announced that Upendra will be joining the cast and the announcement was made to coincide with the birthday of the South Indian Superstar.

2) Nishabdham gets Amazon Prime Video Release
Hemanth Madhukar is directing the highly anticipated thriller Nishabdham, which stars Anuskha Shetty and Madhavan in the lead roles. The movie which was supposed to release in April could not do so because of the unfortunate closure of theaters across India due to the nationwide lockdown imposed in light of the COVID-19 virus. But the Anushka Shetty-Madhavan starrer is finally being released on online streaming platform Amazon Prime Video on October 2nd.

3) Siddharth to star in Maha Samudram
Director Ajay Bhupathi of RX100 fame is currently busy with his next project titled Maha Samudram. Ajay won multiple accolades for his direction skills in RX100, a low budget movie which became a superhit. There have been strong rumours of Siddharth making his return to Tollywood with Maha Samudram since a couple of months. It looks like the rumours turned out to be true as the filmmakers behind Maha Samudram have announced Siddharth as the second protagonist.

4) Most Eligible Bachelor Shooting Resumes
After enjoying 5 months of lockdown by spending quality time with family and munching yummy food, Pooja Hegde flew back to Hyderabad on Sunday to resume her work life. Pooja Hegde took to Instagram and shared a back to work picture from the sets of Most Eligible Bachelor. Pooja posted a picture with Akhil Akkineni and captioned it saying “The only two people on set not social distancing in an attempt to shoot a romantic-comedy in corona times (sic.)”
5) Kamal Haasan-Lokesh Kanagaraj announce new film titled Evanendru Ninaithai
Kamal Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj will be collaborating for the first time and Evanendru Ninaithai is being produced under the banner Raaj Kamal Films International. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose music for the film. The project is scheduled to hit the screens in summer 2021. Both Lokesh and Kamal Haasan shared the news on their social media handles.

6) Legendary filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao tests positive for COVID-19
Legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao took to Facebook to reveal that he tested positive for the novel Coronavirus on September 9. He is a director, producer, screenwriter, composer, singer, lyricist and actor, known for his works in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films, across multiple genres. Revealing that he is currently in home isolation, Singeetham said that his quarantine period is up to September 22nd.
7) Naga Babu tests positive for COVID-19
Veteran actor Naga Babu, who was lately busy with his daughter Niharika Konidela’s wedding preparations, has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. The actor confirmed being tested positive by revealing it on his Instagram page. Naga Babu said that he is seeing this as an opportunity to help fellow beings by donating plasma blood.
