Samantha Akkineni surprised her fans earlier this year by revealing that she will be teaming up with Ashwin Saravanan for a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film. Now, the latest buzz states Samantha would play the role of a mute woman.
According to the latest reports, Samantha Akkineni is likely to play the role of a physically challenged person in her upcoming film with acclaimed director Ashwin Saravanan. The character is said to be very intriguing and reportedly she has been attending online workshops to perfect the role. The film was supposed to go on the floors in March but due to Coronavirus lockdown, the shoot has been postponed. Now, the actress is most likely resume shoot for the film in November. A huge set will also be erected at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad, to helm important sequences.
The untitled bilingual film is touted to be a women-centric horror story, directed by Ashwin Saravanan, who has previously worked on films like Maya and Game Over. The film is produced by Sony Entertainment and major portions of the film will be shot in Dehradun.

Meanwhile, Samantha Akkineni will also be next seen sharing the screen space with Nayanthara in Director Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. She will also make her debut as the antagonist in the web series The Family Man, Season two. The actress recently finished dubbing for the web series and is eagerly waiting for the release.
