Renu Desai made her debut in the film industry with Puri Jagannadh’s directorial debut Badri, co-starring Pawan Kalyan. The actress acted in only three films, one in Tamil and the other one with Pawan Kalyan again in Jhonny. Love blossomed between the duo and after being in a live-in relationship for quite a few years, they entered the wedlock in 2009 and unfortunately, parted ways in 2012.
Renu Desai is all set to make her directorial debut in Tollywood with a movie based on the problems and troubles faced by the farmers in the country. The shooting for this untitled film was supposed to begin earlier this year but unfortunately it could not due to the COVID-19 pandemic which equally affected every movie in the country. Now that the lockdown norms and rules are relaxing slowly, many filmmakers have resumed work. Renu Desai is no exception as she resumed the pre production work for her debut movie.

According to the reports, Renu Desai reportedly met with acclaimed Telangana poet and lyricist Goreti Venkanna at his farmhouse to discuss the lyrics for her movie. Renu Desai reportedly has plans to make another movie on handloom weavers after she is done with this project. The actress turned producer-director spent some quality time in nature’s lap while enjoying some lyrical sessions with Goreti and delicious traditional style meals cooked and served on a banana leaf by Goreti’s wife.
