Adipurush: Makers Refute Rumours Of Urvashi Rautela Being Approached For Sita Role

Prabhas’ films are always the talk of the town.  Ever since pan Indian project Adipurush with Bollywood director Om Raut has been announced, every single scoop, buzz and gossip about the film becomes the biggest news on the internet.  While Lord Ram’s and Ravana’s roles are confirmed, the makers are in search of Sita and every day a new actress’ name pops up.

Previously, it was said that Keerthy Suresh and Kiara Advani have been approached for the role of Sita in Adipurush.  From the past few days, Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela’s name has been buzzing around the tinsel town for the Sita role in the Prabhas starter.  However, in a statement, the makers called the reports “baseless and untrue” and said that other than Saif Ali Khan and Prabhas, they haven’t finalised the remaining cast of the film.

Refuting the reports, the makers said, “Stories and reports claiming that Urvashi Rautela has been approached to play the lead role in Adipurush are absolutely baseless and untrue (sic.)”

The makers of the film released a statement, which says, “The makers have never offered any role from the epic drama to Urvashi or her team.  After Prabhas and Saif, we are currently finalising the remaining cast to play the other characters, including the role of Sita, and Urvashi is not in the running for the same.  We will make an official announcement when we lock someone.  Till then, we urge people not to be swayed by such rumours and speculations (sic.)”
