Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the much awaited multi-starrer V has been released today on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Earlier, people used to flock to the movie theatres to watch the first show on the first day. Now, due to pandemic, the movies are coming home as they are being released on OTT platforms.
Just like many movie buffs out there, S.S Rajamouli’s son S.S. Karthikeya also misses watching V movie in the theatre on the first day. The producer, who misses movie theatres, took to his Twitter handle and expressed the grief of not watching V in the theatres. However, Karthikeya shared a picture of his family as they gather to watch V at their home theatre and wrote, “Missing the FDFS hungama of #VTheMovie. V is directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti and features Nani as a ruthless killer, Sudheer Babu as a cop, Nivetha Thomas as a crime writer and Aditi Rao Hydari playing Nani’s love interest. The film has released today and has been receiving a positive response from the audience.
Meanwhile, S.S. Karthikeya was earlier working on a film titled Aakashvaani but backed out to help his father in the magnum opus RRR. Karthikeya said, “With an amazing crew in place, progress has been great on the film. However, over time we have realised that the creative vision of the director and I is different and I felt it would be appropriate to make it easy for the team by handing over the project to someone whose ideas are in sync with the vision of the film. And so, I have passed on the baton to A Padmanabha Reddy of AU&I Studios Pvt Ltd (sic.)”
