Dhanush Directorial Starring Akkineni Nagarjuna Put On Hold?

The news of Dhanush collaborating with Nagarjuna for a new film made fans go all berserk.  The collaboration news of two big stars popped up last year and left the South audience with full expectations.  Now, the latest news about the film will leave you in surprise.

Tamil actor Dhanush was all set to direct his dream project starring Nagarjuna and Aditi Rao Hydari but the latest reports state that the film is temporarily put on hold.  The film was reportedly titled Rudhra and was likely to go on to the floors once the COVID-19 situations get better.  Now, it is said that the film has been put on hold due to unknown reasons.  The film is reportedly bankrolled by Thenandal Studios and is touted to be a bi-lingual film which will be released in Telugu and Tamil.

On the work front, Nagarjuna will be next seen in the upcoming film titled Wild Dog, which is directed by the debutant director Ashishor Soloman.  He is also busy with his next project Brahmastra, a Bollywood film and an ambitious project which is being directed by Ayan Mukherjee.  Brahmastra is an action fantasy movie and is the first part of a planned trilogy.  The movie has a star studded cast with Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy along with Nagarjuna.

On the other hand, Dhanush will be next seen in the Karthik Subbaraj directorial Jagame Thandhiram.  The film was supposed to hit theaters on May 1, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the film’s release has been postponed.  He will also be seen in Mari Selvaraj’s Karnan.  Dhanush’s yet to be titled film with Karthick Naren is expected to go on the floors soon.
