The Baahubali star mettled herself as a brilliant actress of the South, from her first film Super to her latest releases Baahubali and Bhaagamathie. The popular actress of the South, who has a trademark of 15 years in the film industry recently opened up about casting couch in Tollywood.
The casting couch is an underlying issue in the film industry. From time to time, many actresses shared their opinions on this issue. Now, Anushka Shetty opened up about casting couch in an interaction with a leading lady and said, “I admit that it exists in the Telugu film industry but I never had to face it because I was straight forward. Due to my straight and frank approach, I was never exploited. I have always been straight forward and frank. The actress should decide whether they want the easy ways with less fame or harder ways and sustain for long in the entertainment industry (sic.)”
On the work front, Anushka Shetty is all set to make a comeback after 2 years with Nishabdham. The film was scheduled to release in April but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film has been postponed. Nishabdham is directed by Hemanth Madhukar and Madhavan is paired opposite Anushka Shetty. This film also features an ensemble star cast like Michael Madsen, Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivasa Avasarala in pivotal roles. The film is produced jointly by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Kona Venkat under the banners People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation, respectively.
