Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working on his next project with Siva Koratala, titled Acharya. The movie title went viral when Chiranjeevi accidentally revealed the name during a pre release event for O Pitta Katha. Ram Charan will be appearing in an extended cameo in Acharya, and his role is supposedly pivotal to the plot of the movie.
Talking about the movie to a news daily, Ram Charan said he owes his popularity to his dad (Chiranjeevi) and he could not have asked for more after he got the opportunity to share screen space with him in Acharya. Moreover, talking about how his mother’s dream is being fulfilled with Acharya, Ram Charan says “Dad played a small cameo in my film Bruce Lee and even I shook a leg with him in his comeback film, Khaidi No. 150. It’s my mother’s dream to see both my dad and I sharing screen space. I’m glad that her dream is going to come true with Acharya (sic.)”

Ram Charan, who produced Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, is also producing this movie jointly with Anvesh Reddy under the Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment banners. It is also believed Acharya is a political action thriller in which Chiranjeevi will be seen starting a movement against the endowments department regarding misappropriation of temple funds.
A first look and motion poster were released last week on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s birthday and it shows Chiranjeevi defending a place named Ranasthali from bandits and looters. The poster also made fans extremely happy as they took to social media to share the first look.
