S.S. Rajamouli’s much anticipated multi starrer Roudram Ranam Rudhiram (RRR,) is a fictitious story based on two legendary freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan is playing Alluri Seetharamaraju and Jr. NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem. Helmed on a massive budget of close to Rs. 400 crore, the story of the pan Indian film is penned by Rajamouli’s father K.V. Vijayendra Prasad and the dialogues are written by Sai Madhav Burra.
Bollywood’s Alia Bhatt is slated to play the leading lady but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, work on RRR came to a standstill and Alia is stuck in Mumbai. There have been multiple rumours of late about Alia Bhatt being replaced by Priyanka Chopra in what could be a campaign to slander Alia’s reputation. However Alia said the rumours about her exit from RRR are absolutely untrue. A source close to Alia spoke about the non stop trolling on social media and said “She is taking it on her chin. She is a positive person. But the constant slamming is getting to her. What is her connection to Sushant Singh Rajput? Why is Alia being hounded? Those who are championing Sushant’s cause are putting Alia in exactly the same situation of helplessness that they thought existed in Sushant’s life. The hounding has begun to trouble her (sic.)”

A source close to director S.S. Rajamouli said “We’ve no idea when and where this came from. Alia Bhatt is the chosen one for the character she plays in RRR. There is no question of replacing her (sic.)”
RRR wrapped up 70% of the shooting and the remaining 30% includes the portions of Bollywood actors such as Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, which was scheduled to happen in April and May. Rajamouli hopes to resume work in October after consulting with doctors about the safety on the RRR set.
