The Tollywood industry is on a spree to make India greener as they take the Green India Challenge, an initiative begun by Member of Parliament Mr. Santosh Kumar. The latest to join the initiative of the Green India Challenge, is Lavanya Tripathi. The actress planted saplings near Sahastradhara Lake, in Uttarakhand, after being nominated by Director Nandu Reddy.
In the backdrop of rustic scenery of mountains and water, Lavanya Tripathi planted 50 saplings on the roads of Uttarakhand with her brother and friends. Sharing the pictures on social media, Lavanya wrote, “Thank you @nandureddyy for nominating me for this wonderful cause, and as they say “the more the merrier”. I along with my brother asked these wonderful people to help us in this challenge and we together planted 50 trees #greenindiachallenge. I further nominate @rituvarma @actorkartikeya @vennelakish @nehwalsaina @anitha_reddy_27 (sic.)”
Earlier quite a large number of celebrities took part in this challenge like Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Thalapathy Vijay, Samantha Akkineni, Shruti Hassan, Rana Dagubbati and many more. The actors also urged all their fans and followers to take up the challenge and make our India greener and cleaner.

On the work front, Lavanya Tripathi will be next seen working on her upcoming film A1 Express, with Sundeep Kishan. The actress also has Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, a dark comedy directed by Koushik Pegallapati for Geetha Arts, in the pipeline. Kartikeya Gummakonda is paired opposite Lavanya Tripathi in this film.
