Former Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela is all set to make her debut in the Telugu film industry with a thriller drama titled, Black Rose. The bilingual film will be released in Telugu and Hindi and is directed by Sampath Nandi.
Speaking about her debut in Tollywood, Urvashi said, “Beyond Thrilled! Cannot wait for my bilingual (Telugu + Hindi) debut in Black Rose. Our Director Sampath Nandi is one of the most acclaimed filmmakers and wrote the entire script keeping me in mind. When I was offered the film I finished reading it in one go and truly loved the screenplay (sic.)”
Urvashi, who has previously starred in the Kannada film Mr. Airvata said language has never been a hurdle for her. “Language or dialect has never been a barrier or hurdle. I think in the fullness of time in the final analysis what I look for as an actor and thespian is exhilarating and thrilling content. In fact, there is a lot of south film directors and writers who approached me (sic.)”
Recently, Urvashi also flew to Hyderabad to shoot some important scenes and the remaining shooting schedule is said to commence once the ongoing pandemic crisis gets better. She also took to her Instagram and shared a few pictures of herself in a PPE kit in Hyderabad.
The actress was last seen in the Bollywood comedy drama Virgin Bhanupriya, directed by Ajay Lohan and produced by Shreyans Mahendra Dhariwal.
