Director Teja is known for his movies which tend to elicit multiple emotions in the audience . Ever since he made his debut with Chitram, which starred the late Uday Kiran, he gave us many memorable hits across the years. Some of Teja’s hits include Nuvvu Nenu (2001,) Jayam (2002) and Nijam (2003.)
Teja had recently gone to Mumbai and upon his return to Hyderabad, he developed mild symptoms for the COVID-19 virus. The director did not waste any time and got himself tested along with his family members, following which his test results were declared positive for the COVID-19 virus. However, his family members tested negative for the virus. Teja has quarantined himself at his home and has begun treatment for the COVID-19 virus.
Teja is not the only Tollywood celebrity to be diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus. Noted producer Bandla Ganesh, ace director S.S. Rajamouli and his family were also diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus.

On the professional front, Teja announced a couple of films on his birthday, the names of which were registered as Rakshasa Raju Ravanasurudu and Alimelu Manga Venkata Ramana. One of the films would star Gopichand and the other would star Rana Daggubati. Teja’s last film Sita (2019,) was a romantic comedy, which starred Kajal Aggarwal as the titular character along with Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Sonu Sood. Sita was loosely based on the movie Rain Man which starred Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise.
