The Mahesh Babu and Preity Zinta starrer Raja Kumarudu, which was released on July 30th, 1999, completed 21 years yesterday. On this special day, everyone from the film including Director Raghavendra Rao, lead actor Mahesh Babu and lead actress Preity Zinta, all got nostalgic and shared happy memories of the film.
Remembering her second Telugu film Raja Kumarudu on the 21st anniversary, the leading lady of the film, Preity Zinta took to Twitter and wrote, “Thank you @RagavendraraobaGaru & @urstrulyMahesh for an incredible experience. I will always cherish it 🙏 #Memories #21YearsForRajakumarudu (sic.)”

Yesterday, Mahesh Babu also got all nostalgic remembering his debut film as a protagonist. He thanked Director Raghavendra Rao for making his maiden silver screen outing a special one.

Preity Zinta made her South debut by playing the leading lady opposite Venkatesh in Premante Idera, in 1998, followed by Raja Kumaradu in 1999. Preity Zinta was also unanimously praised for her beauty, striking screen presence and convincing acting chops in the role of Rani in Raja Kumarudu.
