Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati Relish Fond memories Of Gharshana

Today, on July 30th, 2004, the Venkatesh Daggubati and Asin starrer Gharshana was released.  The film is considered as one of the classic films of Venkatesh for various reasons such as riveting narration, stylish action sequences and foot tapping songs.  Venkatesh’s performance as a police officer in his masculine look is still the favourite of many Telugu movie buffs.  Gharshana is known for another thing, which is the on point chemistry between Venkatesh and Asin, a classic pair till today. 

Taking to his official social handle on the special occasion, Venkatesh remembered the film and wrote “#16yearsofgharshana Thank you for all the love!!  Thank you @menongautham for making me a part of this amazing story, #Asin for being an amazing co-star and @Jharrisjayaraj for some memorable songs (sic.)”

Rana Daggubati retweeted Suresh Productions tweet and demanded a sequel to the movie. Rana took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “#16YearsOfGharshana how many of you want a sequel ?? I do!! (sic.)”

Rana also replied to a fan, who shared a famous fight sequence of Venkatesh from the film, where his t-shirt rips off near the biceps.  The fan asked Rana if he ever tried to reprise it, to which Rana said, “Of course I tried😂😂 (sic.)”

Gharshana marked the directorial debut of Gautham Menon in Telugu cinema. Music of the film was composed by Harris Jayaraj.  Classic songs like Cheliya Cheliya, Nanne Nanne and Andagaada are still enjoyed by music buffs even after 16 years.
