Legendary filmmaker Kodi Ramakrishna, in just a span of three decades made 130 films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The director took his last breath in 2019, on his 71st birth anniversary, Anushka Shetty who starred in his blockbuster film Arundhati, remembered and paid tribute to him.
On the 71st birth anniversary of Kodi Ramakrishna, Anushka Shetty took to her Instagram Story and shared a post from one of her fan pages to remember him. The actress wrote, “You will be in our memories forever Sir (sic.)”
Kodi Ramakrishna’s film Arundhati starring Anushka Shetty, which was released in 2009, has won ten state Nandi Awards, and two Filmfare Awards. Arundhati was also considered as the highest grossing Telugu film in 2009.
Meanwhile, reports are rife that Allu Arvind has bought the remakes rights and is planning to remake Arundhati in Bollywood. Deepika Padukone is reportedly in talks for the leading lady. However, there is no official confirmation yet.

On the work front, Anushka Shetty is waiting for the release of her forthcoming thriller film Nishabdham, directed by Hemant Madhukar. The film features an ensemble star cast of Madhavan, Michael Madsen, Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivasa Avasarala in pivotal roles. Nishabdham is produced jointly by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Kona Venkat jointly under the banners People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation, respectively.
