#ThrowbackThursday: Suriya Requests Rajamouli For A Role In Baahubali

Suriya is a South Indian actor who majorly works in the Tamil film industry, but the actor has carved himself a handsome chunk of loyal fans in the Telugu speaking states, as well.  Suriya is vividly remembered for his fantastic performances in the movies like Ghajini, Suriya S/o Krishnan, the Raktha Charitra series and Singham.  Suriya won numerous awards which include three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. 

Suriya turns 45 years old today and for his birthday and as a part of today’s throwback Thursday, we give you this video where Suriya can be seen requesting acclaimed director Rajamouli to give him a role in Baahubali.  In the video Suriya is on stage at an event which was also attended by Rajamouli.  Suriya talks about how he regrets not being able to work with Rajamouli when he was offered a chance.  As the video progresses, Suriya requests Rajamouli for an opportunity to star in Baahubali, if there is any chance at all, no matter how minute the role.  Check out the video below.

On the professional front, Suriya will be seen in his upcoming movie Soorarai Pottru.  The flick is based on the life of Captain G.R. Gopinath, the founder of the budget airline Air Deccan.  Besides Suriya, the movie also stars Paresh Rawal, Aparna Balamurali and Mohan Babu in pivotal roles. The movie is bankrolled by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.  Suriya will also be making a cameo appearance in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which is a biopic based on the life of Nambi Naryayan, an aerospace engineer who worked at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO.)
