Upasana Kamineni, Vice Chairperson of the Apollo Foundation and Apollo Life and owner and editor of B-Positive, health and lifestyle magazine, adopted an elephant on the occasion of her birthday.
Upasana Kamineni donated a cheque of Rs. 5 lakh to the Nehru Zoological Park Curator N. Kshitija. Upasana will be taking care of the food and health of an elephant named Rani for one year. The curator thanked Upasana for adopting ‘Rani’ for one year, thereby strengthening the wildlife conservation program of the Zoo. She hoped that her gesture would inspire many people to come forward to adopt animals during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Yesterday, social media was filled with birthday wishes for Upasana. Many celebrities like Rakul Preet Singh, Samantha, Rana Daguubati, Sania Mirza among many others have poured wishes for the entrepreneur and woman. Upasana’s hubby Ram Charan also wished her saying, ‘Your act of kindness, no matter how small, is never wasted.’
