Speaking to a leading daily about his onscreen characters, Vijay Deverakonda said, “Each of the characters I have portrayed has bits and pieces of me. When I was in middle school, I was that boy in Yevade Subramanyam and I lived life like that. Pelli Choopulu was also me. A side of Arjun Reddy was also me. It might come as a surprise but I am all of them. And in some way, I feel, we all are. Each one of us has multiple dimensions to our personality but we try to slot ourselves – he is secure, he shy, he is an extrovert, etc (sic.)” The actor believes that one needs to tap into these emotions bubbling inside them and that is when there is magic on screen.

Vijay Deverakonda is all set to make his debut in the Bollywood industry and experiment with another unique role. Vijay is currently working on Fighter, which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh. Bollywood diva Ananya Pandey is roped in to play the leading lady while Karan Johar is co producing the movie with his production house Dharma Productions and Puri Jagannadh’s Puri Connects. Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as a mixed martial artist in Fighter and underwent training in Thailand to prepare himself for the role.
