Filmmaker Sanjana Reddy, who made her directorial debut with Raju Gadu in 2018 is all set for her next film. Sanjana Reddy will be working next on the biopic of weightlifter Karnam Malleswari. The news about the biopic has created a lot of excitement among the Telugu audience, as she is the first Indian woman to win a Bronze Medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Several reports claimed she was on a ventilator and had complained of high fever and breathlessness. Debunking all these rumours, Director Sanjana Reddy said she is back at work, having recovered from her illness.
Speaking to a leading daily about the illness rumours, she said, “I fell sick with high fever and was hospitalized. After a few days of rest, I am now fit and I have started work on the biopic (sic.)”
Speaking about the collaboration between her and writer producer Kona Venkat, Sanjana said, “I met him many times after the Raju Gadu film and I narrated a story to him. He asked me to make a few changes and I’m working on that (sic.)”
Sanjana Reddy is currently working on the script of the biopic and soon the cameras will start rolling. The Indian film will be released in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Karnam Malleswari will be jointly produced by Kona Venkat and M.V.V. Satyanarayana
