Rahman To Reprise Vivek Oberoi’s Role In Lucifer

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s films are always the talk of the town.  Earlier this year, Chiranjeevi announced his forthcoming film will be a Telugu remake of the hit Malayalam film Lucifer.  Sujeeth of Saaho fame, has been roped in to direct the film.

According to the latest reports, the makers of the film have approached Tamil actor Rahman to play a pivotal role in the Telugu remake.   A source close to a leading daily said, “Rahman will be seen playing the antagonist in the film, a role that was played by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi in the original(sic.)”

It is also said Rahman was quite impressed with the role and immediately agreed to be part of the Telugu remake.  An official announcement is expected to be made in August.

Reports suggest actor Vivek Oberoi himself was initially considered to play the role. However, he was not interested to be a part of it.  The shoot of the film is likely to begin by the end of this year once the Coronavirus scare subsides.  The Telugu remake will be produced by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan under their banner Konidela Production Company.
