Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working on his next project with Siva Koratala, titled Acharya. The movie title went viral when Chiranjeevi accidentally revealed the name during a pre release event for O Pitta Katha. Since then fans have been referring to Chiranjeevi’s 152nd film as Acharya.
Manisharma is the music director for Acharya and this movie will see himself and Chiranjeevi reuniting after more than a decade. Manisharma composed the music for the superhit movie Stalin (2006,) in which Chiranjeevi played the lead role. Manisharma gave an interesting update regarding the songs in Acharya and the music album. Speaking about the matter, Manisharma said “Acharya audio album consists of a sizzling special song, a song featuring two heroes, one romantic duet, one emotional song and a dance number. Background score will have utmost importance in the movie (sic.)”

The shooting schedule for Acharya was progressing at a brisk pace and filmmakers were able to complete almost 40% of the movie shooting. Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in the lead roles for Acharya. Kajal Aggarwal was roped in as Trisha Krishnan’s replacement when the latter had to walk away from Acharya, citing creative differences. Ram Charan will also be making an extended cameo appearance in Acharya.
Ram Charan, who produced Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, is also producing this movie jointly with Anvesh Reddy under the Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment banners. It is also believed Acharya is a political action thriller in which Chiranjeevi will be seen starting a movement against the endowments department regarding misappropriation of temple funds.
