Mahesh Babu Celebrates 50 Years Of Family Banner Padmalaya Studios

It was on this day 50 years ago Superstar Krishna and his brothers co founded the famous Padmalaya Studios in Hyderabad.  The studio is currently renamed as Indira Studios and G. Mahesh Babu Entertainments and Krishna Productions Pvt. Ltd.

Celebrating the milestone, Mahesh Babu on Friday took to Twitter and congratulated the founders on the completion of a glorious journey.  The actor wrote, “It all began today 50 years ago for #PadmalayaStudios!!  A glorious journey.  Respect and congratulations to its founding members and the entire team who have created some iconic entertaining films under this banner for our Telugu film audience(sic.)”

Padmalaya Studios has distributed and produced many Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films over the decades.  The K.S.R. Das directorial film, Mosagallaku Mosagadu in 1971, was the maiden production venture of the Studios.

On the work front, Mahesh Babu will begin the shooting of his upcoming film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata once the ongoing Coronavirus situation gets back to normalcy.  The film is directed by Parasuram and is jointly being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and Mahesh Babu’s own production company GMB Entertainments.  The actor will also be seen in a Rajamouli directorial making it the first time both Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli are collaborating.
