Hemanth Madhukar is directing the highly anticipated thriller Nishabdham, which stars Anuskha Shetty and Madhavan in the lead roles. The movie which was supposed to release in April could not do so because of the unfortunate closure of theaters across India due to the nationwide lockdown imposed in light of the COVID-19 virus. However, Hemanth Madhukar posted a throwback picture with some of the cast and crew when they were in Seattle for a shooting schedule for Nishabdham.
Hemanth Madhukar posted a picture of himself with producer Kona Venkat, Shalini Pandey, and Shaniel Deo at the beautiful Seattle pier on a beautiful sunny day. A major portion of Nishabdham was shot in Seattle as can be seen in the last trailer which was released in March. Shalini Pandey plays the role of Anushka Shetty’s best friend in the movie who is believed to have passed away. This leads to Sakshi (Anushka) believing Sonali’s (Shalini) ghost is committing murders to send a message when she comes across a corpse in her basement.

There is no clear idea when Nishabdham would release and Hemanth Madhukar shared they were approached by OTT platforms with an offer to consider releasing Nishabdham on streaming platforms in view of the lockdown. But Hemanth Madhukar said the team is not considering it at this moment and will plan accordingly based on the scenario in the future.
Nishabdham stars Anushka as a mute artist and Madhavan as a musician in the lead roles while Hollywood’s Michael Madsen, Anjali, Subbaraju, Shalini Pandey and Srinivas Avasarala will appear in supporting roles.
