Niharika Konidela took everyone by surprise when she announced she would be getting engaged to Chaitanya Jonnalagadda, on her social media. Before Niharika officially announced the name of her fiance, she made a cryptic post with her holding a Starbucks coffee cup which had her name as Ms.Niha and the Ms. was struck out to write Mrs. This led to widespread speculation about an imminent announcement of the good news by fans.
The parents of both Niharika and Chaitanya met to discuss the details of the engagement and the wedding. However, the auspicious occasion for the engagement seems to have been fixed officially and is said to take place on August 13th. The engagement venue is being scouted for now according to the latest buzz in Tollywood. Moreover, Niharika expressed her desire to have a theme based engagement function which is small and beautiful. The marriage would also be a very small affair limited to members of the Mega family and the close family of the groom.

Niharika’s fiance Chaitanya is an alumnus from the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS), Pilani and the Indian School Of Business (ISB.) He is currently working for a leading multinational company in Hyderabad as a Business Strategist. Chaitanya’s father J. Prabhakar Rao is the Inspector General of Guntur police and when asked to comment about the engagement by a leading news daily, he said “It’s an arranged marriage and the kids don’t really know each other. We met their family last week and decided that the two of them are perfect for each other (sic.)”
