Kona Venkat is vocal about his admiration and deep respect for Ram Gopal Varma for having taken a chance on him when he was struggling.
Kona Venkat took to Twitter to post a deeply thankful message to Ram Gopal Varma as Satya turns 22 years old today. Kona Venkat spoke about how he was struggling and almost on the verge of death when Ram Gopal Verma offered him an opportunity to work as a writer for the movie Satya. Terming the opportunity as a miracle, Kona Venkat goes on to say he was handed three ‘big’ responsibilities as a lyricist, dialogue writer and production controller.

Satya is a 1998 Indian Hindi language crime film, produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma; written by Saurabh Shukla and Anurag Kashyap. Ram Gopal Varma decided to shoot the movie with aspiring actors to keep the budget to a minimum and also interacted with people from the Mumbai underworld to gain insights for this movie. Satya opened to critical acclaim with critics raving about how accurately and realistically the Indian underworld was depicted.
Currently, Kona Venkat is busy with his upcoming project Nishabdham which stars Anushka Shetty and Madhavan. The movie is a thriller where Anushka Shetty plays the role of a mute artist. Kona Venkat also announced a biopic which is based on the life of Indian weightlifting legend, Karnam Malleshwari.
