The Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya, is one of the most awaited and anticipated films of the year. Due to the lockdown and ongoing threat of Coronavirus, film shootings are not likely to commence until August.
Ram Charan will be making a cameo appearance in Acharya. The actor was supposed to shoot in May but the lockdown had disrupted all the plans. This led to a fresh round of speculations. The latest buzz is that Chiranjeevi and Koratala Siva will soon take a call on whether to wait or not for Ram Charan until he wraps up Rajamouli’s RRR, which has also been postponed indefinitely due to the lockdown. If things do not go as expected, Chiranjeevi and Koratala are planning to approach a new actor as Ram Charan’s replacement.
About 30% of the shoot has been completed before the lockdown and the makers are planning to complete the film by the year end to ensure a festival release. Acharya, which was supposed to release on August 14, 2020, but has been pushed for Sankranthi. Kajal Aggarwal will play the lead actress in this film. Acharya is produced by Ram Charan under Konidela Production.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan is completely busy with Roudram Ranam Rudhiram (RRR) which is being directed by Rajamouli. Ram Charan will star alongside Jr. NTR in RRR, where he will be seen as Alluri Sitarama Raju and Jr. NTR will be playing the role of Komaram Bheem.
